Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F.
Step 2: Beat sugars and egg in mixing bowl.
Step 3: Beat in melted butter. (I like to add some rum extract for extra flavour)
Step 4: Add eggnog and mix.
Step 5: Sift flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg over eggnog mixture.
Step 6: Stir until moistened.
Step 7: Mix in nuts and fruit.
Step 8: Turn into greased 9x5x3" loaf pan.
Step 9: Bake for about 1 hour until an inserted wooden pick comes out clean.
Step 10: Let stand for 20 minutes.
Step 11: Turn out onto rack and cool.
Step 12: This recipe freezes well.
