Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups rolled oats or steel cut oats
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup flax meal or chia seed meal or a combination
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons kombucha, water kefir, whey or lemon juice
  • 2 eggs, mixed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar OR honey OR stevia powder to taste
  • 1/8 tsp salt (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil OR butter
  • Dried fruit, coconut flakes, chocolate chips etc (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: The day before place oats, flour, flax, water and kombucha (or chosen ingredient) in a pot and mix well; cover and soak 12-24 hours.

  • Step 2: In the morning, add the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce to simmer and cook for a few minutes (maybe 5) until thick. Stir periodically to avoid burning.
