Step 1: In a large skillet melt butter over low heat. Add turnips and season with salt and pepper, tossing to coat with the butter. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally until turnips ad tender and lightly browned (10-15 minutes). Uncover and add shallots, sauteing another few minutes.
Step 2: While the turnips are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add beans and cook until crisp tender (5 minutes). Drain, pat dry, transfer beans to the same skillet with the turnips and toss to coat. Add more salt and pepper if desired. Add parsley, toss and serve.
