The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1/2 pound ground beef (or bulk Italian sausage)
  • 2 cans (10.5-ounce) pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fennel seed (crushed)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons leaf oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat butter in a 2-quart heavy saucepan over high heat. Brown onion and ground beef (or sausage), drain excess grease. Transfer cooked meat/onion mixture to a 2-quart fondue pot,

  • Step 2: Add pizza sauce and spices to fondue pot; stir well until the mixture bubbles.

  • Step 3: Add cheeses by handfuls, stirring well after each addition until smooth.

  • Step 4: Serve with Italian or French bread cut into cubes.
