  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • Salt (1 dash)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (chilled, or 1 tablespoon margarine, cut into small pieces)
  • 3 ounces low-fat yogurt (vanilla, 1/3 cup)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried peaches
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 teaspoon fat-free milk
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F.

  • Step 2: Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl.

  • Step 3: Cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal.

  • Step 4: Add yogurt and dried peaches to flour mixture, stirring just until moist.

  • Step 5: Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 4 or 5 times; dough may be slightly sticky.

  • Step 6: Pat dough into a 5-inch circle on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.

  • Step 7: Cut circle into 4 wedges; separate wedges slightly.

  • Step 8: Brush milk over dough and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon sugar.

  • Step 9: Bake for 14 minutes or until golden.
