Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F. Coat a 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, spices, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
Step 3: In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and brown sugar. Add melted butter, buttermilk and vanilla extract. Whisk until combined. Fold in pumpkin.
Step 4: Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Whisk until there are no lumps. Fold in dark chocolate chips and chopped pistachios.
Step 5: Pour batter into prepared baking pan. Level with spatula.
Step 6: Bake for 50-60 minutes, until cake has risen and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Remove and let cool for 20 minutes.
Step 7: Invert onto a wire rack and cool completely.
