Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup walnut pieces
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • Salt & pepper
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 large egg (beaten)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F.

  • Step 2: Put the walnuts in a food processor and chop finely.

  • Step 3: Remove and set aside.

  • Step 4: Add flour plus the extra 1 tbs of flour, salt & pepper to the processor bowl.

  • Step 5: Cut the butter into small pieces and add to the flour mixture.

  • Step 6: Mix in short bursts until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

  • Step 7: Coarsely grate in cheese, add the reserved walnuts and mix quickly to form a dough.

  • Step 8: Turn mixture on to a lightly floured surface and roll out thinly.

  • Step 9: Using a 2 1/2 in round cookie cutter, cut the dough into rounds and place on baking trays.

  • Step 10: Brush the tops with beaten egg.

  • Step 11: Bake for about 10 minutes until golden.

  • Step 12: Cool and store in airtight container.
