  • 3 cans (15.8 ounce) black-eyed peas (drained)
  • 1/4 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 can (14 ounce) chicken broth (can use reduced sodium)
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (start light add more if you wish)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
