  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes.

  • Step 2: Place egg yolks in a blender and process on high speed.

  • Step 3: Slowly pour in the hot sugar water while blending (pouring too fast might curdle the yolks.)

  • Step 4: Add sweetened condensed milk, rum and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.

  • Step 5: Chill in refrigerator.
