Step 1: In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes.
Step 2: Place egg yolks in a blender and process on high speed.
Step 3: Slowly pour in the hot sugar water while blending (pouring too fast might curdle the yolks.)
Step 4: Add sweetened condensed milk, rum and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
Step 5: Chill in refrigerator.
