Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 prepared unbaked pizza crust (to fit a 12-inch pizza pan)
  • 3/4 to 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • Salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups Picante sauce
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 medium plum tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/3 cup chopped ripe olives
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (can use more, or can use a Mexi blend cheese)
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed tortilla chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Coat a 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray.

  • Step 2: Place the pizza dough onto pizza pan.

  • Step 3: Partially bake at 425 degrees F for 6-8 minutes or just until lightly browned.

  • Step 4: Meanwhile in skillet cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.

  • Step 5: Add in garlic and 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning mix; cook stirring 2 minutes; season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Step 6: In a bowl combine the salsa and sour cream; spread over crust to within 1 inch of edges.

  • Step 7: Top with beef mixture, tomatoes, olives and cheese.

  • Step 8: Sprinkle with crushed tortilla chips; bake 10-15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and crust is browned.
