Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 (18 ounce) French bread (1 large Italian loaf)
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley (washed and spin-dryed in a lettuce spinner)
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup melted butter (slightly cooled)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (slightly cooled)
  • Mozzarella cheese, grated (any amount you like)
  • Parmesan cheese (any amount you like)
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Peel all the garlic cloves.

  • Step 2: Add garlic, parsley 1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons olive oil and 1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons melted butter to a food processor or blender and process until combined.

  • Step 3: Slice (split) your Italian bread loaf in half (lengthwise).

  • Step 4: Spoon on your garlic oil mixture on your bread ensuring it's all covered.

  • Step 5: Season with salt and pepper.

  • Step 6: Wrap in foil and bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes at 200ºC or 400ºF.

  • Step 7: Remove bread from oven, unwrap from foil, cut it half so it's in two pieces and sprinkle on the grated mozzarella cheese.

  • Step 8: Top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

  • Step 9: Bake in oven on a baking sheet for a further 15 minutes or until cheese is brown at 200ºC or 400ºF .
