How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large skille tcook the beef with garlic over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain fat then transfer to a bowl and cool slightly.

  • Step 2: Line unpricked pastry shell with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil, then bake in a preheated 450 degree F oven for 5 minutes; remove foil, then bake for 5 minutes more; set aside (reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F).

  • Step 3: To the cooked beef, add in the eggs, mayonnaise, light cream chopped onion, cornstarch, seasoned salt, pepper and 1 1/2 cup shredded cheese; pour into crust.

  • Step 4: Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean (if necessary cover the edges of crust with foil to prevent overbrowning).

  • Step 5: Sprinkle with remaining 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese; let stand 5-10 minutes before cutting.
