Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound shrimp (20-24 fresh jumbo, cleaned, peeled, tails left on)
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (smoked)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoon vodka
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon hot sauce (Tabasco original red hot sauce, use more if you want)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lime, juiced (or lemon)
  • Lemon or lime slices

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the dry seasonings in a small bowl. In a larger bowl, add shrimp and season evenly with seasoning. Add the honey, vodka, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, and lime or lemon juice, use your hands to combine then marinate for 40 minutes to 1 hour in refrigerator.

  • Step 2: After the shrimp has marinated, skewer 4-5 shrimp onto each skewer.

  • Step 3: Preheat/grease grill to medium/high heat for 4 to 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: Cook the shrimp skewers for about 2 minutes per side or just until pink. Serve with some lemon or lime slices.
