Step 1: Bake the sweet potatoes until fork-tender; cool only enough so that you can remove the skins (potatoes need to be warm enough to melt the butter but not really hot to cook the eggs).
Step 2: Mix in salt, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla and milk. Spread mixture into greased 13x9 inch baking dish.
Step 3: Mix all ingredients together. Sprinkle on top of the potato mixture.
Step 4: Bake in a preheat 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.
