Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 10 ounces sweet potatoes (1 large and 1 medium sweet potato)
  • Salt, pinch
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • TOPPING
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

How to Make

  • Step 1: Bake the sweet potatoes until fork-tender; cool only enough so that you can remove the skins (potatoes need to be warm enough to melt the butter but not really hot to cook the eggs).

  • Step 2: Mix in salt, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla and milk. Spread mixture into greased 13x9 inch baking dish.

  • TO MAKE THE TOPPING

  • Step 3: Mix all ingredients together. Sprinkle on top of the potato mixture.

  • Step 4: Bake in a preheat 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.
