Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt (add in only if you using unsalted butter)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter (salted butter, cold, cut into cubes)
  • 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 jar (12 ounce) caramel ice cream topping (warmed, Smucker's brand)
  • 1 package (11 1/2 ounce) milk chocolate chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In a food processor, combine flour, salt and brown sugar until combines , just a few seconds. Add in cold butter and process until crumbly. Press mixture into bottom of an ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan.

  • Step 3: Sprinkle the pecans over the top of the crust, then drizzle warmed caramel topping evenly over pecans. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until caramel is bubbly. Place on wire rack. IMMEDIATELY evenly sprinkle chocolate chips over top; let stand 5 minutes, then spread chocolate chips over caramel-pecan layer. Cool for at least 6 hours at room temperature or until chocolate has set (chilling may cause chocolate to appear dull). Cut into bars.
