Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 5 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup pecan halves (chopped )
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 whole orange (grated zest of)
  • 1/8 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 4 green onions, diced
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wash rice thoroughly.

  • Step 2: Place rice and water in medium saucepan. Bring to boil and simmer uncovered for 45 minutes. Rice should not be too soft. Drain and return rice to pan, over low heat.

  • Step 3: Add remaining ingredients and toss gently. Bring back to heat and serve.
