Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 400 grams figs (8 medium black figs)
  • 1/4 cup hazelnuts (16 hazelnuts, toasted and peeled)
  • 100 grams prosciutto ham (8 slices, very thinly sliced)
  • 80 grams gorgonzola cheese (dolce)
  • Olive oil
  • Sprigs of watercress (to garnish)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 200C

  • Step 2: Score a deep cross in the gigs and gently press each cheek in to slightly open.

  • Step 3: Add a teaspoon of gorgonzola to each and wrap each fig firmly with the prosciutto.

  • Step 4: Place in an earthenware dish and drizzle with a small amount of olive oil and bake in the oven for 10 minutes.

  • Step 5: Garnish with roughly chopped hazelnuts and some sprigs of watercress.
