Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2: Mix together liquids with egg and extract, beat well with a fork.
Step 3: In food processor.
Step 4: Add sugar, almonds and orange peel.
Step 5: Add flour, baking powder and soda, and salt.
Step 6: Add butter until fine granules form. Stir in.
Step 7: Add egg mixture and stir with a fork until a soft dough forms, add a little extra milk if needed.
Step 8: Turn out onto a board and give 5-6 kneads.
Step 9: Divide dough in half and pat into circles on an ungreased cookie sheet; cut each circle into 6-8 wedges, depending what size scone you want.
Step 10: For crisper scones separate wedges on the sheet.
Step 11: Bake about 25 minutes or until medium brown.
