Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 portabella mushrooms
  • 3 ounces hamburger buns (2 buns)
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 4 ounces bacon (4 slices, cooked)
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Caesar dressing (creamy, plus more to top)
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Ground pepper (1 dash fresh)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wipe the mushrooms with a clean dry cloth, remove and discard the stem and gills from mushroom with a spoon; set aside.

  • Step 2: Whisk together the lemon juice, creamy Caesar dressing, parmesan cheese, basil, salt and pepper and pour half in a container big enough to hold both mushrooms.

  • Step 3: Place the mushrooms in the container cap side down and pour the remaining sauce inside the mushroom; allow to sit for a couple of hours.

  • Step 4: Remove the mushrooms from the sauce and place them cap side down on a pre-heated grill and cook over direct heat for about 3 minutes per side.

  • Step 5: Heat the buns and spread a bit of the Caesar dressing on buns, add mushrooms and top with bacon, lettuce and tomato.

  • Step 6: Enjoy!
