Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/14 cups self-rising four
  • 5 tablespoons chocolate spread
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts (chopped OPTIONAL)
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies Cereal (rice bubbles)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (bits)
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips (bits)
  • 1 large egg (lightly beaten)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 180C.

  • Step 2: Beat margarine and sugar in a small bowl with an electric mixer until pale in colour.

  • Step 3: Gradually add egg and vanilla extract, beating well after each addition.

  • Step 4: Stir in sifted flour; mix until well combined.

  • Step 5: Add Rice Bubbles cereal, choc bits and hazelnuts (if using); mix well using hands.

  • Step 6: Spoon level tablespoons of mixture onto baking paper lined oven trays.

  • Step 7: Bake in oven for about 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

  • Step 8: Stand for 5 minutes on trays; cool on wire racks.

  • Step 9: Sandwich biscuits together with chocolate spread.

  • Step 10: Store in an airtight container.
