Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 10 cups cubed bread
  • 1 1/3 cups butter (or margarine)
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 2 cups chopped yellow onions
  • 2 cups diced apples (peeled)
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley (I use fresh when available)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons thyme
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sage (I am generous in the adding)
  • 2 tablespoons poultry seasoning
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt (or to taste)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cube bread (I like to cube the day before) dice and chop the apples and vegetables

  • Step 2: In large pan add butter, saute the celery and onion until onions are soft

  • Step 3: Add in the remaining ingredients, pour over the cubed bread (I like adding the bread cubes to the pan gently tossing to mix)

  • Step 4: NOTE - this is the original recipe - taste and add more of the seasonings you like until it is pleasing to you (I add more sage). Stuff the turkey breast and cavity using skewers where needed
