Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 cups cherries (pitted, cut up)
  • 1 package powdered pectin
  • 5 cups granulated sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: To prepare fruit; sort and wash, remove pits, and cut into pieces - measure until you have 4 (or a bit more) cups.

  • Step 2: Place cherries into a large pot. Add pectin and mix well.

  • Step 3: Turn heat on high and , stirring constantly, bring quickly to a full boil.

  • Step 4: Add sugar, continue stirring until a full boil is reached.

  • Step 5: Boil hard for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  • Step 6: Remove the foam from the top with a spoon.

  • Step 7: Fill and seal the containers.

  • Step 8: Process 10 minutes in a boiling water bath ( please use canning instructions).
