Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds chicken legs quarters
  • SAUCE
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger, crushed
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place in chicken inslow cooker.

  • Step 2: On medium heat,add sauce ingredients to saucepan.

  • Step 3: Heat until slightly thickened.

  • Step 4: Pour about half the sauce over chicken and save remaining sauce, be sure to include ginger and garlic pieces.

  • Step 5: Turn slow cooker to low and let cook for about 4 hours.

  • Step 6: The sauce won't cover all the chicken, but turn it once or twice throughout to coat both sides.

  • Step 7: Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

  • Step 8: Line baking pan with foil and place cooked chicken pieces skin side up.

  • Step 9: Discard remaining liquid from slow cooker.

  • Step 10: Spoon or brush chicken with reserved sauce and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned it was brought to my attention that this might be to long for some ovens . Keep basting chicken every 3 to 4 minutes until lightly browned
