  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 3 quarts water (boiling)
  • 1 package (10 ounce) dry bow tie pasta
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounce) tomato soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 8 ounces shredded cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Brown beef and onions in hot skillet; drain grease.

  • Step 2: Cook noodles in boiling water for 10 minutes; drain and set aside.

  • Step 3: Combine soup, water, smoked paprika, brown sugar, dry mustard, and vinegar. Stir into cooked meat.

  • Step 4: Add drained noodles to meat mixture, stirring gently to avoid tearing noodles.

  • Step 5: Spoon beef-noodle mixture into a 9 X 13" baking pan. Sprinkle cheese over top.

  • Step 6: Bake, uncovered, at 300° for about 30 minutes.
