Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds beef skirt steaks
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper, fresh ground, to taste
  • Kosher salt (1 pinch)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard (deli mustard)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable oil)
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons paprika

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat your broiler to high.

  • Step 2: Season with pepper salt and deli mustard and broil steak for 3-5 minutes per side (this can be tough if it is overcooked (chia) I like mine burnt, lol) cut into slices across the grain.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile in a saute pan, heat oil and add onion slices,garlic, and paprika, salt and pepper.

  • Step 4: Saute until slightly browned on both sides.

  • Step 5: Serve onions over steak.

  • Step 6: (optional--- smear some deli mustard on steak before broiling).
