Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pound beef brisket roast
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 pounds carrots, sliced in large pieces
  • 1 package (1 ounce) dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (16 ounce) cranberry sauce (I use home made)
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 300°F.

  • Step 2: In pan place brisket fat side up.

  • Step 3: Surround with carrots and sliced onion.

  • Step 4: Top with onion soup mixture,tomato sauce, cranberry sauce.

  • Step 5: Cover with heavy duty foil and cook 5 hours.

  • Step 6: Slice against the grain, serve with pan gravy.
