Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (85%)
  • 1 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 12 ounces dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 can (15 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 ounces American cheese (chopped deli american cheese)
  • 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles ( optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook beef and 1/2 cup onion in a large non-stick skillet over medium-highnheate, until the beef is no longer pink.

  • Step 2: Add the macaroni, tomato sauce, Worcestershire, dry mustard, 1/2 tsp salt ans 1/4 tsp pepper- bring to a boil- then cover.

  • Step 3: Reduce the heat to low and simmer , stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes ( or until macaroni is cooked).

  • Step 4: Stir in cheese, other 1/2 cup onion and pickles- season with salt and pepper-Let sit for 5 minutes - then serve.
