  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup lime juice (key lime, fresh or bottled)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a saucepan over medium heat bring the water and sugar to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Mix in the condensed milk and then the lime juice. Transfer mixture to a medium bowl; place over a large bowl filled with ice and let mixture cool for about 30 minutes.

  • Step 2: Process mixture in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions. Transfer sorbet to medium container and freeze until firm - at least 4 hours or up to 2 days.
