Step 1: Pour oil in stock pot and heat on medium heat. Add onions and garlic. Saute till onions are translucent. Add ground meat, break up as it's browning. Add seasonings, herbs and steak sauce, and stir in.
Step 2: Pour in beef stock and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer. Let simmer for about 15 minutes covered. Add beans and let simmer covered for about 20 minutes. Add potatoes and let simmer till they're just tender, but not so they dissolve into the soup, about 15 minutes. Serve with some crusty Italian bread.
Step 3: Sodium content is more like 900 mg per serving if serving 4. And 600 mg per serving if serving 6.
