Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/8 teaspoon saffron (crumbled,optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups chopped yellow onions
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 1/2 pounds cauliflower, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 3/4 cup half and half

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine chicken broth, water and bring to simmer.

  • Step 2: Add saffron and /or to pan,

  • Step 3: Remove from heat, steep for 20 minutes.

  • Step 4: In pot heat butter, add onions, cauliflower, salt and pepper, stir to coat, add saffron broth, simmer for 20 minutes,

  • Step 5: Covered in blender in batches,or with immersion blender puree all, add 3/4 c half and half.
