Step 1: Cream brown sugar and lard. Add egg.
Step 2: Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture.
Step 3: Cut walnuts with knife but don't chop. (I don't see the reasoning behind this, but that's how recipe reads.).
Step 4: Form into long rolls.
Step 5: Let stand all night in cool place in refrigerator.
Step 6: Cut into thin rounds.
Step 7: Bake in 350 degree oven (directions say moderate oven) for 10 minutes. I'm guessing time until the cookies brown, guys.
