Step 1: Heat oil in a heavy skillet.
Step 2: Saute garlic for 2 minutes.
Step 3: Remove and discard garlic.
Step 4: Fry rice in the same oil until rice is golden brown.
Step 5: Drain excess oil and return rice to pan.
Step 6: Stir in all remaining ingredients.
Step 7: Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer about 30 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed.
