The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound radishes (julienned)
  • 1 medium yellow onion (julienned)
  • 2 tablespoons whole allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup water

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine radishes and onions. Set aside.

  • Step 2: Wrap allspice, cloves and mustard seeds in cheesecloth, and tie together. Place in saucepan with remaining ingredients.

  • Step 3: Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.

  • Step 4: Pour over vegetables and steep 15 minutes.

  • Step 5: Pour into a clean pint jar and let cool slightly.

  • Step 6: Cap and refrigerate.
