Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups cubed bread
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup crabmeat (may use the canned)
  • 3 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper (I use freshly ground and am generous in the adding)
  • Cayenne (1/16th teaspoon, optional and to taste)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large pan melt butter, lightly saute chopped celery, onion and green pepper

  • Step 2: In a large bowl add rest of ingredients

  • Step 3: Add the sauteed vegetables

  • Step 4: If desired salt, pepper and seasoning of choice inside and outside the fish

  • Step 5: Stuff, cover with foil sealing edges (I do a double foil wrap)

  • Step 6: Bake 45 to 60 minutes in 400 degrees oven (ovens vary I do mine at 350)
