  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

How to Make

  • Step 1: Remove and separate the 8 dough wedges, then roll up each wedge.

  • Step 2: In a shallow bowl/dish mix the sugar with cinnamon until combined.

  • Step 3: Pour oil into a heavy skillet (use enough oil for deep-frying) then heat oil to 350 F.

  • Step 4: Using a slotted spoon carefully lower about 2-3 wedges into the hot oil; fry until underside blisters and browns (about 8-10 seconds) then turn over and brown the other side.

  • Step 5: Remove with a slotted spoon then roll into the sugar/cinnamon mixture, then place on a rack.
