Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 can (400 grams) chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1 whole lemon (juice of)
  • 80 ml olive oil (extra virgin, plus extra for drizzling)
  • Sweet paprika, pinch of
  • Pita bread, crackers or toasted Turkish bread to serve

How to Make

  • Step 1: Blend the chickpeas, garlic, salt, tahini, lemon juice and olive oil in a small blender or food processor until smooth.

  • Step 2: Transfer the mix to a small serving dish/bowl and drizzle with a little more olive oil and flick with the paprika.

  • Step 3: Serve with pita bread, crackers or toasted Turkish bread.
