The ingredients are:
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • Salt, pinch
  • Whiskey (1 shot)
  • 1 teaspoon anise oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups cake flour
  • FILLING
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon butter,
  • 4 tablespoons raspberry preserves
  • 3.3 ounces chopped walnuts (3/4 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cream butter well

  • Step 2: Add half of the granulated sugar and all of the brown sugar;

  • Step 3: Mix well.

  • Step 4: Add whiskey, rum and vanilla.

  • Step 5: Add egg yolks, then flour; mix.

  • Step 6: Beat egg whites with remaining sugar until soft peaks form.

  • Step 7: With a wooden spoon, blend beaten whites into dough.

  • Step 8: Roll into 1-inch balls.

  • Step 9: Place on pizzelle iron.

  • Step 10: Bake until done.

  • Step 11: Mix filling then pipe into rolled cookies.
