  • 1 cup butter softened (no substitutions)
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar, sifted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sliced almonds
  • 1 (10 ounce) package skor toffee pieces’

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In a mixing bowl, cream butter, oil and sugars.

  • Step 3: Add in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then add in extract.

  • Step 4: In another bowl combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture

  • Step 5: Stir in almonds and toffee bits.

  • Step 6: Drop by teaspoonfuls on to an ungreased cookie sheet 2-inches apart, then bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
