  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 pounds pike fish (fillets)
  • 3 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 3/4 cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 1/2 ounces tomatoes (peeled, 1/2 cup, chopped)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1.3 ounces fresh mushrooms (1/2 cup, sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Season flour with salt and pepper.

  • Step 2: Roll fish in seasoned flour.

  • Step 3: Heat oil in a large skillet.

  • Step 4: Saute fish and onion until browned on both sides, 4-5 minutes per side.

  • Step 5: Remove fish and keep warm. Leave the onions in the pan.

  • Step 6: Add tomatoes and wine to the onions.

  • Step 7: Cook about 5 minutes.

  • Step 8: Add mushrooms and parsley and cook until heated through, 1-2 minutes.

  • Step 9: Pour sauce over the fish.

  • Step 10: Garnish with more parsley, if desired.
