  • 2 ounces pecans (1/2 cup chopped)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup (real)
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 large whole eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 2 large egg whites (lightly beaten)
  • 2 ounces pecan halves (1/2 cup, optional, for decorating the pie)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 325.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk all ingredients (except the pecan halves) together until well combined.

  • Step 5: Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
