Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 box (18 ounce) strawberry cake mix (I used Duncan Hines)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil (vegetable oil or another mild flavored oil)
  • 1/3 cup dried chopped strawberries (optional)
  • GLAZE
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 to 2 tablespoons whole milk (or half and half)milk
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: Line 7x11 inch square baking pan with parchment (and spray with Pam).

  • Step 3: Mix strawberry cake mix with sugar, eggs, and oil with hand mixer until well combined. Mix in dried strawberries. Spread batter evenly into pan.

  • Step 4: Bake for 15 minutes or until just set; be careful not to overcook.

  • Step 5: Allow to cool for 10 minutes; lift carefully from pan using ends of parchment to lift.

  • TO MAKE THE GLAZE

  • Step 6: Mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth.

  • Step 7: Pour glaze over warm bars, spreading to edges so that glaze will drip down sides.

  • Step 8: Allow bars to cool and glaze to set before cutting into squares.
