Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 large onion, sweet finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 pounds potatoes, cooked grated
  • 1/2 pound grated swiss cheese, Gruyere
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Dash pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In skillet on stove top saute onions in butter until tender, do not brown.

  • Step 3: Add potatoes, cheese, salt and pepper and mix well.

  • Step 4: Spoon the mixture into a greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish.

  • Step 5: Beat together eggs and milk, pour over onion mixture.

  • Step 6: Bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden.

  • Step 7: Allow to cool for 5 minutes before cutting.
