  • 1 1/2 cups graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon butter (1/16 cup)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • FILLING
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 ounces gelatin powder (Knox)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup whipping cream (whipped)
  • Maple flavoring (2 drops)
  • 1/2 cup nuts (chopped)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix all crust items together.

  • Step 2: Line pie crust.

  • Step 3: For filling, beat egg yolk with brown sugar.

  • Step 4: Dissolve gelatin with a little cold water.

  • Step 5: In another pan boil syrup.

  • Step 6: Add to egg yolk mixture. Be sure to temper it or you will have scrambled egg.

  • Step 7: Add gelatin mixture while still hot.

  • Step 8: Let cool, but not thickened.

  • Step 9: Add the whipped cream and a couple drops of maple flavoring.

  • Step 10: Pour into crust and top with nuts

  • Step 11: Chill overnight.
