  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • SECOND LAYER
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup walnuts (chopped)
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

How to Make

  • FOR THE FIRST LAYER

  • Step 1: Mix flour, butter and brown sugar. Press into a 13x9x2 pan.

  • Step 2: Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • FOR THE SECOND LAYER

  • Step 3: Mix eggs, brown sugar, salt, walnuts, coconut, lemon juice and lemon zest.

  • Step 4: Pour over 1st layer.

  • Step 5: Bake 25 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Step 6: Do not cut into bars until cool.
