Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 cups dry elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon base, or one bouillon cube
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, undrained
  • 5 1/2 ounces tomato soup (1/2 can)
  • 3 ounces tomato paste (1/2 can)
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/2 cup green beans (optional)
  • 3 slices American cheese, or 1/2 cup cheddar, shedded

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large frying pan combine beef, onion, bouillon, salt and pepper. Brown until no longer pink. Drain well.

  • Step 2: Stir in stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, soup and ketchup.

  • Step 3: Simmer 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: Pour mixture into a 2 quart casserole.

  • Step 5: Stir in macaroni.

  • Step 6: Bake covered in 350* oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.

  • Step 7: Uncover, place cheese on top and bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

  • Step 8: Tip: I freeze the extra tomato soup and paste in a ziploc bag for the next time I make the recipe.
