Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter (creamy)
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 7 ounces rolled oats (2 cups)
  • FROSTING
  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: With mixer, beat peanut butter, softened butter and sugars together until well mixed. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until incorporated.

  • Step 3: Add flour and oats. Mix until combined.

  • Step 4: Spread into jelly roll pan.

  • Step 5: Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. Cool.

  • FOR THE FROSTING

  • Step 6: With stand or handheld mixer, mix peanut butter, salt and vanilla.

  • Step 7: Slowly add powdered sugar and milk alternating to mix. Add a teaspoon or two of extra milk if the frosting needs to be thinner.

  • Step 8: Spread on cooled bars.
