Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2: In bowl mix, combine the cornmeal, salt, and sugar.
Step 3: Add the boiling water and butter and corn into the bowl and mix for about 5 minutes.
Step 4: Add milk and beaten eggs and mix for another 5 minutes; allow mixture to cool for about 5 minutes.
Step 5: Add the baking powder and mix until well incorporated.
Step 6: Pour mixture into a buttered skillet or 2-quart casserole and bake for 30 to 45 minute an the center has set.
Step 7: Serve immediately.
