  • 2 large eggs
  • Sugar, for tops
  • Flaked coconut, for tops

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F.

  • Step 2: Sift flour and baking powder together and set aside.

  • Step 3: Combine cardamom, salt and butter.

  • Step 4: Gradually blend in sugar.

  • Step 5: Beat in eggs.

  • Step 6: Gradually stir in flour mixture.

  • Step 7: Drop by rounded teaspoons 2" apart onto ungreased baking sheets.

  • Step 8: Flatten tops by pressing with the bottom of a glass covered with a damp cloth.

  • Step 9: Sprinkle tops with sugar and coconut.

  • Step 10: Bake until edges are lightly browned, about 8-10 minutes.

  • Step 11: Cool on sheets 1 minute, then remove to a rack.

  • Step 12: Store in an airtight container.
