Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 pound ground round
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheese, your choice of cheddar, monterey jack, etc.
  • Optional:
  • Jalapeno, very finely diced
  • Lettuce and tomato, very finely diced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375F. Brown ground round in a large skillet. Follow taco seasoning instructions, simmer 5 minutes.

  • Step 2: Pat the block of cream cheese completely across the bottom of a 9" pie dish or 8" square baking dish. Cover with the seasoned ground round mixture and spread evenly. Sprinkle with the cheese.

  • Step 3: Bake in the pre-heated oven for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Sprinkle with jalapeno if desired, or finely diced lettuce and tomato.
