Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels (unpopped)
  • 2 1/4 ounces chopped pecans (1/2 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pop the popcorn kernels , make sure there are no old maids .

  • Step 2: Set aside in bowl.

  • Step 3: In a heavy saucepan put the maple syrup and butter and on medium heat cook to 260~ on a candy thermometer. I don't have a thermometer so I just boil for 1-2 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add pecans, you might want to stir some so the mixture doesn't boil over.

  • Step 5: Remove from heat and add the vanilla and soda. Stir well and pour over the popped corn.

  • Step 6: Coat all of the popped corn with the syrup and shape into balls. with buttered hands
